What Red Sox alumnus would you like to see featured as a “Son of New England”?

Over the years, more than 1,500 ballplayers have worn the Red Sox uniform. New Englanders have adopted many of these former players as one of their own. Each month, Herb Crehan details a Red Sox alumnus in his “Native and Adopted Sons” series. Who would you like to see featured?

I remember when I was a teenager I went to fenway park with my father to see cleveland play the sox , and ted williams gave me my biggest of a lifetime when he hit a high drive to center field and it almost left the park ,not sure who the pitcher was ,could have been jim lemon or mike garcia, and I believe bob feller was still on the team as well. Well ,it was the biggest thrill of my young life at the time, thankyou, Ted Williams, from the bottem of my heart, thank you.
